From the time I reached young adulthood, I have been drawn to the world of psychology and counselling. This led me to study my BSc in Counselling and Psychology at University of Roehampton and then my Masters in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Counselling at Birkbeck, University of London. My passion for helping people has led me to work in a wide range of sectors in mental health services including mental health hospitals and various mental health and emotional support charities, eventually leading me become a psychotherapist/ counsellor.
I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist. As a client coming to this form of therapy, you can expect to be exploring your past to understand yourself and your present life. It allows a safe space to explore a deeper understanding of yourself through self-reflection and examining unconscious patterns, bringing them to your conscious mind. By building a trusting relationship we can reflect on thoughts, behaviours and responses that could be triggered by previous events in your life and see how they are affecting you presently.
